Idle Problem

My car has started doing it's funny idle thing again, when you give it a few revs (just to about 1000) it will occasionally stall.

Last time it did it I think it was one of the coils.

Any idea how I can find out if this is the problem and if it is, how do I fine out which one?

Might be something to do with the automatic choke, probs just needs adjusting

Don't think it is. I think it's one of the coils but don't know how to check which one.

Just an idea as my dads car did that poor idle and when you took it upto 2000rpm or above at took your foot of it just stalled especially in the winter and the choke needed adjusting,

Cheers. Took it into stealers last time and they changed one of coils under warranty, not under warranty now tho.

I had a similar problem when it wouldn't idle properly from cold and would sometimes stall if you blipped the throttle, was the throttle body at fault so I had it replaced under warrenty thought apparently taking it off and cleaning it up works too for a much cheaper option (throttle body was £250 on its own).

Trouble with the coils is that unless its missfiring i'm not sure how you can check which one it is.

Yep, they changed throttle body when I had problem last year.

It's not doing it all the time so I suppose i'll just keep an eye on it, see if it get any worse.
