idle update (part 2)

Righto iv posted numerous times regarding strange idle and the revs dropping too low when coming to a stop. iv replaced:

idle speed control valve
potentiometer
throttle body
speedo cable and road speed sensor
timing sensor
coolant temp sensor
lambda sensor
fuel filter

Just been for a sneaky drive, even though my box is shagged, and its still dropping, not cutting out but dropping low then picking back up, and the idle is lumpy as in the videos i posted last time, and then it seems to pick up, then drops again then picks up.

Only things left to do are:

map sensor (where do i get these from?)
setting up the potentiometer properly (at renault)
timing the cams properly (as they need doing)
Getting rid of the 19 16v ecu and putting a ph1 clio one in
Getting the bugger properly mapped!

Since i changed all the above its been much better, a lot more driveable than when it first started doing it, but its still not 100%

and i forgot how quick the bugger is, even though didnt go over 3500krpm ;)
 


risking it abit with that fcuked gearbox aint ya? Have you tried switching over the ECU for a std one? theres not alot else you can replace, engine managment system has to be the issue surely?

Speak to DeanRsi, he has a simular thread going (search for it, he posted in it today).

He has someone looking at it this weekend, has changed most of the bits as well!

yeah, i only went round the block hehe. gearbox seems fine, just its cracked so the oil leaked out! im gonna fix the crack and get some oil in whilst im waiting for new box, as im only insured an another car till the end of the week and i need to get to work and that! will just have to take it easy!

yeah im getting a proper clio ECU, as well as a map sensor now probably as well.

The cars getting properly setup and mapped pretty soon, but ideally i want it running fine beforehand, as it did when i originally had the engine rebuilt!

i spoke to dean numerous times, seems a pretty common problem! just a shame it will be the last thing i try that fixes it no doubt!

Since the car has been acting up it refuses to pop and bang like it used to on demand! me thinks the potentiomenter needs adjusting properly!!!

Hi was just wondering who the best people to use for getting a proper setup and mapped. Renault?

Also what is the cost as im thinking of doing this

im getting it mapped by either andy at GDI or by a dastek dealer! as iv had a few mods that need mapping!

renault can diagnose ur car and setup the potentiomenter if required! or u can do it urself with a multimeter but im not sure how!
