idle (update)

Some of you will remember I posted a video of my dodgy idle, and cutting out last week.

Well today I changed the Coolant Temp Sensor and timing sensor, and all seems to be well. Although iv not had chance to go for a drive due to no gearbox. The car now idles as it always did and the revs drop fine when revved so things are looking promising.

But I forgot how fekin lumpy my idle was.

Ive not changed that on mine (have changed most other things!)

was about £15 from BB tuning. was ordering some other stuff too.

reason for changing this was very occasional starting problems, only ever had twice so thought id change it anyway!

you ever had the problem of your idle sitting at about 1500rpm on idle?

mine does it on occasion after giving it some, tempted to change the timing sensor if its similar to the problems you were having man

Do a search, a lot more people have had a high idle like that and have fixed it. I think its a cable (not sure which one) but cant remember for sure.

no, just bought a standard one! good job you told me the advanced one was causing you problems though, or id have probably bought an advanced one!
