hi, I have just bought a clio 182 and have been told that its idling too low? it sits about 800, somtimes dips and after a long time idling when warm, it gets a bit lumpy (not massively, but not normal). Aparently it shouldnt dip below 1k?? what do yours idle at?

Yes around 800 is normal - the rev counter isnt accurate enough to say its 800 anyway, but yes just under 1000 rpm is normal.

They also can run a little lumpy also.

Fred are all the 172 ph2 so irregular at idle or it may depends on age and (in my case) exhaust? could a map solve this?
