IE6 vs IE7

  1.8 Civic EX
no comments about using Firefox etc instead please! lol

I recently upgraded from 6 to 7 and since then I've had no end of troubles with my internet connection. Possible that IE7 is causing this or just bad timing?

Anyone know how to revert back to 6 so I can try it?

Thanks

You can uninstall IE7 from Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel :)

Typical response from Tez!

Oh yeah, Rhino, if you uninstall IE7 it will default back to IE6. Are you aware you can run IE7 without Add-ons which might improve things for you?

it will revert to 6? cool! I knew how to remove it but wasn't sure if it would remove IE alltogether or revert back to 6.

Yeah I tried turning off the add-ons and it seemed to help for about an hour then it cocked up again lol

It could be something to do with the modem to be fair but I just want to try this first before I start calling up Virgin..

When you say problems with your internet connection what is happening exactly?

it will be working fine then starts running real slow then stops all together.

Close down all open explorer windows, clear temp files and browsing history.

open internet explorer then it works fine again for about 10 mins then breaks again.

We have this Broadband Medic thing. My brother has run it several times and everytime it comes up with something different. Various results from the modem isn't connected to problems with the website we're trying to view to problems with the firewall.

It's this thats making me think it's IE7 thats causing the problem rather than the modem itself..

(I'm at work at the moment, hense why I'm able to be on here asking for help! lol)
