If you where to get hold of 2 bare Xenon units...

Would you just need one of these each side?

Or would you still need igniter's, And obviously bulbs?

As far im aware you need a bare unit, igniter, a ballast and bulb for each side normally yes?

Just gathering information for future plans.

I always thought the ballast charger pack was one thing and the igniter went on the back of the bulb?

Ive never really looked into xenons factory before.

This ballast kit looks like it doesn't need an igniter but then again im not sure.

you have a ballast which is the silver box which screws underneath the headlamp then there is an ignitor which screws in the backof the headlamp and bulb assembly.

ive just had to replace everythink !

No idea on that kit up there, but pretty sure my passenger side was like this:

When I took it off, no black box behind the bulb like the other side? Will have to check to make sure. Was awhile ago and I didnt check into all the wiring etc.

Of you got 2 bare projector units just go and buy an HID kit for it. Piece of piss to fit.

Yeah.. But i've read previously DS2 or D2S or whatever the fitment is hard to get hold off as a hid kit?

Plus although these are separate ballasts, It seems to work like a hid kit anyway as far i can tell doing away with the igniter.

Alex C the PIAA wires go into the side bulbs dont they? Do they work? Ive seen the £50 PIAA kit that uses a kit like that and has high powered side lights.

Doesnt seem to be anything to do with the xenons?

God knows what its for looking at the wiring, Looks like sidelights powered more using some of the main lighting? Cant tell, Did you or the previous owner take out the side lights?
