They are aiming for 105db to get it through Castle Combe noise regs. Honda kept the engine (and steering wheel) so they're dropping a 500bhp V8 in it's place. A few more details here...

I'm wondering where you would even source tyres etc, must be an awful lot of work getting it all up and running. Plenty of old F1 cars in private hands running in EuroBoss etc, but I'm not aware of any this new actually out there racing.

Then there is the issue of actually driving the car. Its not like you can rock up in an F1 car and jump in. She'll need a fair amount of seat time before getting comfortable, not to mention the fitness aspect. My mate did a race in EUROBoss. He lapped everyone in three laps at Brands, so gives you an idea of how hard it is for a 'normal' amateur race driver compared to a pro...

very cool indeed. wonder how much that would set you back to buy at an auction. Remember seeing a different honda f1(think it was 2006 car?) car being advertised for £100k last year. It was complete bar the engine and steering wheel.

yeh can imagine the general running costs being insane for competition use unless you have big sponsors. Everything on them costs a fortune. I remember looking into the f1 rain lights and they were £1200 to buy each.
