hi

do you have iis / home directory / ftp site directory write ticked?

how about iis / directory security? are you granted access there or added your account?

neil

its 2k3 server

as far as i can tell i have ticked it everywhere i can lol i have set 2 others up on 2k3 before and they work fine its just this one doesnt seem to want to give the user write capabilities when logged into ftp

If write permissions are enabled in the server properties tab then my money would be on the actual NTFS permissions on the folder the ftp server is using but that shouldn't matter because you generally have the file permissions of the user that you logon as not the IUSR account, does the user account your logging in with have write permissions on the folder ?

The IIS User will need write access to the folder.. as thats what the service is running as.. hence writing/reading as etc..
