Single point injection mate. Its the 1171cc Energy engine - very similar in design apart from the capacity to the 75bhp 1.4 RT. My old Mk1 was a 1.2.

Id go for a Hill Power one if I were you. I had a K&N (fairly cheap at £45), but the noise is better on Hill Power ones - lets face it, you dont buy them for power do you!! The airbox sits on top of the head, which has a single throttle body. Rip off the old airbox and place the induction kit just straight on top of the throttle body - and away you go! Youll also need to rip off the warm air pipe that comes from the front of the engine and the temperature control regulator thingy that used to give constant temperature air to the airbox. But keep the old airbox as you might want to sell the car as standard.

where are those two things that i have to rip out? i think i know the where the pipe is, i thought it was a cold air pipe tho!? is there are way i could relocate the kit away from the top of the engine cus its gonna b very warm up there?!

and i am lookin at the hillpower site now, does the 1.4 kit fit the 1.2 then or do hill power do a 1.2 IK?

Im 70% sure that the 1.4 engine uses the same throttle body as the 1.2 - but Id suggest you phone Hill Power and ask them.

As far as can remember (and this was a few years ago!!), both the warm and cold air feed meet at a kind of T-junction, which is on the passenger side at the front of the engine. It is at this point that the temp control thingy lives. You rip all this apart and feed a new cold air pipe all the way up to the new filter unit. I dont think you can relocate it - the difference in performance wont be massive even in the heat (I dont remember my 1.2 ever being that quick!).

The Hill Power one also gives you a kind of heat shield for the filter unit (more of an issue on the RT I guess).
