I keep putting up a thread and it gets moved all the time.

Anyway, the simota IK arrived yesterday and im in the middle of fitting it now.

Ive had a couple of problems and i need some help. I have noticed that the hose that connects to engine doesnt have a hole for the oil breather to fit. Well i think its the oil breather, its a pipe that comes from behind the engine that connects to the air filter hose to cool down something.

Is there anything i can do? Also im starting to doubt its specifically for the 172, it might be universal.

Let me know what you would do.

Thanks.

you can buy an oil breather hose for around £10-£20 but will be a little messy in the future or get the correct pipe with the adaptor on it prob best bet

Ive been looking at a few pictures on here and you cant seem what some people have done with the pipe. Do you recomend that i get a oil filter from halfords or somewhere?

What do people do when they by the Samco hoses?

either need to vent it to atmosphere with crankcase breather OR buy another silicon elbow with pipe
