im having a major leak in the sunroof department and want to know how do yo fix this once and for all?

also by chance if anyone from N.ireland has had this bother, have they had it professionally done and by whom??

my mrs clio 1.2 is exactly the same when it rains there are pools of water on the floor she took it back too renault they done some work on it but it still leaked until i sealed it up using a tube of clear silicone from b&q for £6. the jobs a gud un no more leaks................ hope this helps

did you just seal it up around the outside mate?

take the frame out put some silicone on it, making sure surfaces are clean and then wak it bak down, u will have to unscrew about a million 10mm nuts mind

it will be leaking in between the roof and the frame, even if it looks like it isnt, its very rare for it to come in elsewhere

if you can, remove the frame and renew the seal thats underneath, and maybe some silicone aswell, if you cant be bothered to remove the lining put a small bead around the outside of the frame where it meets the roof

will try this once i get a chance. should i go for clear sealant around the edge or black?

if anyone had a pic of theirs done with either clear or black, please post them up

black stuff jonny, id exactly the same problem with mine. took the whole thing out put a new seal onto it and put silicone around the new seal too.jobs a good'un. stopped any rattling too

yeah reno sunroofs are shite - luckily i traded my car in so hoepfully the gaareg fixed it before selling on
