Cambelt issue won’t start after changed.

Hi guys, Has anyone had any problems after a cam belt change on a 197? It was working perfectly fine no issues. The cam belt was replaced and the mechanic started the engine before putting all back together to make sure no leaks. He then put back together and it now doesn’t start. No spark/just won’t start. He also changed filters and checked spark plug (was going to have a service) Any help/advice

Possible he hasn't plugged the cam or crank sensor back in if there is no spark - however there other things that would cause no spark.

Very difficult to diagnose something 3rd hand, I would suggest that he start by pulling any fault codes.
