Im New here and about to get a 172

Hi everyone.

Im new to this site and im glad to say i will be getting a 172 in the next few weeks. But before i spend my money i would like to ask anyone who drives one a the moment for their opinion about the car and any problems.

Im sure many people have asked this question before, if soo, could you please show me the link.

Generally 172s and 182s are sound in terms of reliability the issues you will encounter (if any) will be smally niggley things like trim rattles etc. Depending on age the only things that tend to wear or need replacing (other than tyres and brakes) are engine mounts and the exhausts sometimes rust just before the rear silencer and eventually sag down or break off completely.

Am selling my one if intrested I have a Renault Clio 172 Cup, 2004, 53, 8005 miles, blue, standard 172 cup spec no mods... previously cat d damaged, excellent repair excellent condition. Will take £6500.
