I'm New To All This

Hi there, I've just got my first car, an '03 Clio 1.2 Dynamique. I got it as a gift from my mother and I dont mean to sound ungrateful but I wouldda preferred a 172/182 (who wouldnt). Is it possible to fit the 172/182 bumpers onto my little 1.2?

I know its a n00bish question but judging on other topics I've read here, you guys seem like a cool bunch.

Yes it is possible, could get the bumpers second hand from a breakers but might be a bit hard to source, get them sprayed up and fitted.

you can swap them over but it gets kinda pricey as you need the arches and arch liners so if u can find a breakers then its much easier just to take all the front panels

there was a german (i think) chap who managed to fit one to his car with the dynamique arches still on but im not sure how he did it

You might want to think about your insurance before modding, It being your first car and all that.

Nice gift to be given that! Like whats been posted it is possible to fit the Renaultsport bumpers but it aint cheap. Others have done it though.

i think u can do it without the arches, IIRC dutty_112 had a 172 bumper on with standard arches.

let me go look for the thread.

to be honest id change the wheels to pal if you are going to do it.

yeah you need a different offset so the wheels come out more, or spacers
