Saw this parked in the paddock at Snet yesterday. Anyone off here? It was lovely!

This is Marc Melhuish's Cup, he's on the CSOC Facebook page but don't know if he's on here. It is immaculate. It won a prize at waxstock last year I think. It's just as clean underneath too. Awesome car.

Ah ok. Blinkin' Facebook, can do without that. Lovely car though.

I even took a picture of the wheel for some reason:

Nice to see one in excellent standard condition.

Ooo I got spotted. That was me, me and the Mrs brought the car out for a bit of a drive as I was co driving yesterday in the white nova car no.48. I thought it might get a bit of attention parked there. Was nice to have it out of the garage and in the sun, a great colour when the sun hits it.

It's a lovely example, put loads of hours into it, nice to have a nigh standard example as you don't really see many nowadays.its currently on 52k and I've owned it coming upto 5 years

I've done quite a lot of work on the underneath recently, will post some decent pics of it for you when I get some time.

Would be great to see some more pictures, looked lovely! Makes mine look a bit poo lol.

See I like that a lot. But with being addicted to keeping mine clean (not to that level which is awesome by the way) do you sort of not like driving it?

Yeah I love driving it, it goes most out most weekends in the summer but doesn't get used unless really needed in the winter.

It's just a really nice car to own, initially when me and the wife bought it it was used every day fir two years for her work but things changed and we bought a Honda for everyday use. I have a work van to so now the clio is just a toy, were very lucky to have been able to keep it.

You and @Phase1sr would get on like two fat kids in a sweet shop
Oh you....X

Sounds like he has OCD clio clean just like me haha, it's a nice hobby but so time consuming
Im a bit of a perfectionists the same as you mate. Not only is it time consuming it costs. :fearscream:

I love your Cup, id love one but i don't have the room or the time.

Cracking car mate, real credit to you mate.:hearteyes::cool:

We took it on a road trip last year to Scotland, really good fun. We covered nearly 2000 miles in week and used a lot of fuel but it never missed a beat and got very dirty lol.

I was going to try and find your phase 1 build. Probably one of the best threads on here

Thanks, it's taken a lot of time and money but I'm so pleased with. Still bits to do but I'm happy so far .

Your ph1 sounds interesting

It was ok mate, as you know a labour of love.

I sold the car last year to a V6 owner in Northern Ireland. [emoji2]

I love that, I mean I'm a fan of a tastefully modified clean car, but seeing a completely standard car with so much work done to keep it that way and in original form is awesome, outstanding work sir!

Hi the beam is now powdercoated along with the stub axles and mount holding brackets. Originally I just painted it but wasn't happy with the finish.

Thanks for putting the pictures up mate. Wish I'd spent a bit more time looking round it now, looks ace!

is the beam etc painted or powdercoated?

No probs, I will try and do a bit of project post or something for it on here.

I'm going to try and get the car along to Blyton for the cliosport event on there 1st-3rd July. Tempted to do the show and shine with it.

Thanks Steve, I feel really lucky to own it and have been able to do what I have with it. I've tryed so hard to keep it standard. I've upgrade the usual bushes and brake lines etc but that's just to make it a better car. I think the itg air intake is the only thing non standard on it. I don't mind that though as its a nice bit of kit

Definite credit to you m8 - it's really nice to see examples that are virtually factory fresh.

Your wife must be a very patient person? Or maybe she's just as committed as you in keep the Cup minty fresh?! :)

Thankyou, means a lot getting all these nice comments.

Haha yeah she is patient, but she is a busy person as she is a teacher etc and so spends many evening in front of a laptop planning etc while I will grab some time in the man cave.

I use some days off to work on it to, but the wife really appreciates the car and knows just how good it is so she enjoys helping me do the odd bit to it, and she loves driving it

That clio looks mint... if only mone was that good.

Btw massivewangers (jon) didn't know you was on here. Still into the fords much?

Yes bud, still got three Escorts; a 1.4 MK5, RS2000 F2 rally car and another RS2000 rally car.

Also got a 172 Cup and a Golf R - too many cars!
