Immobiliser Fault

Can someone please help me, my 2002 clio 172 won't rev past 3000 rpm and the electrical fault light is showing, I have had a local mechanic come out and plug in the diagnostic reader and it says that there is a problem with the immobiliser decoder ring.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I am also running an Omex 710 engine management system.

Any help will be much appreciated.

and there was me thinking the immobiliser would stop the engine starting. Scoll down a bit, there was an identical fault posted a couple of days ago (TPS/PPS?)
