I have recently bought a mk1 clio 172, Im having a load of problems with the immobiliser. When I bought the car, the guy said, sometimes you have to turn the key twice to get the light to stay on in the dash. before you can start the car. Fair enough no problem I thought.
Now it can take 5 minutes of me turning the key to get the light to stay on. Driving me mad! look like a right idiot sat in the car for so long trying to get it start.
I believe this is a common problem on mk1s, Anyone know excactly what it is and the best way to fix it? Any idea of price? Car needs a cambelt change soon aswell, think its be easier to get them done at the same time.
Can anyone reccomend a good specialist in the north east -teeside/newcastle area.
