immobiliser light and ice??

hey i was fitting my new head unit turned everything off bolted it all in place ....i checked it worked before i did all this and it did and then once i had bolted it in place all of a sudden the head unit had no power going to it and the immobiliser light was not lighting up not even flashing but i can start my car everytime whats happening i have no idea help please
