Immobiliser wont let me start and move car

  e60 M5 -172- dciheid
Bit of a predicament this one. 172 is currently SORN with the idea being to get it taxed and MOT’d for the spring (ie next month). Have been turning it over, which has been fine, until yesterday it wasn’t playing ball.
The red circular dot in middle of SERV and STOP is now lit up all the time and the car is now not starting up!!

Now the problem I have is its sitting unable to move and im told by the handbook that only a renault dealer can fix it.

So my pickle is this, how the hell do I get it round to the dealer (1 mile away!!) without it costing silly amounts?
Or unlock it so that it will start? Iv tried both keys and im suspecting that the battery being left and going flat may have arsed the immobiliser

jump start mate. mine does this all the time. battery being flat has made the car think it cannot read the immobiliser from the battery operated key. get the jump leads out to recharge the battery, then it is a case of making the key and car realise they are next to each other.

i do this by continually opening and locking the car with the fob from inside the car. also by pressing the central locking button.

then the car, once charged, should start. also tip is to turn the key all turns before starting and seeing if the light goes out. if it doesnt, needs more charge or more unlocking and locking.

ok ill try recharging it, may just be a shout to replace it. But ta for the experience you had, sounds like mine to a tee.

I did try the locking and unlocking.

Last week it eventually started, but this week no such luck!!
