i have a clio 1.2 16v dyanamique (03)

anyone ever had a problem of the immobiliser light comin on an u have no throttle.

I had to stop turn my engine off lock the car and try again.

Further down the road it done it again. All the way to work it kept on doin this! Hope im not alone. Is it worth sendin it to renault for this or should i wait an see if it does it again?

yeah the battery is properly charged its just some dick head hit me on the motorway on sat night at the cruise!an since that this happens, im hopin just a wire has cum out or somet but renault say they will look at it and if its because of the crash they will charge me, the insurance are goin to take ages to fix me car too. do u know if there are wires to the immobilser round the driver side?or anything to do with it?

the knock might have disturbed some wiring and the uch but i doubt it.how bad is the damage and which specific area?

i sorted it, well its booked into renault for thu mornin, but i know the problem. There is a black metal box thing open at one end that covers some wiring, well its just coincidence that this has happened at the same time as the crash. Anyway, the black box has vibrated onto the wiring and rubbed through the outer plastic casing exposing the bare wires!now they are earthing themselves to the black box cover!took this off and it runs sweet as f**k!just gonna get renault to change the wires, and that box must have to be clipped down or something to stop rubbing, well it was half hanging off when i looked at it.

the engine fuse/relay box cover or the injection ecu cover(small metal cover on back of engine).the ecu cover is commen for rubbing through the wiring loom.

had a few at work where the metal ecu cover rubs through the loom.there was a renault recall about this once.
