is the imobiliser on a mk 2 clio part of the alarm system?

is it a seperate unit to the alarm sender

IIRC its to do with a chip inside the key.

So its not switched off with the blipper button, but something like when its close to the ignition, it deactivates the immobiliser.

yes this is true i have remote start up on my car and i had trouble with the immobiliser u can deacvitate the immobliser by having a power feed coil to the coil pack
