import warranty

punter i work with has a dynamique import from ireland, central locking is shagged and since its just over 1 year old he got it in to his local dealers who advised as its an import it has a 1 year warranty? is this correct? can he get it back to 3 years?

He should have 3 years, mine came from Holland via Ireland (I have no idea why!) the first time I took it to the dealer they said it had one year, but Renault UK gave me 3, the dealer doesnt argue anymore!

Yep, its an EU car so it will have 3 years, tell your mate to take it to another dealer, this one sounds a w**ker. This is Renault UKs helpline No. if needed:

yep renault @ burton said one year as did the derby dealer, not had any probs apart from sunroof when i got is so hopefully i wont have to use it!!

warrenty is deffinately 3yrs it starts off as 2 and is extended to 3 for free providing the service intervals have been kept up, i know this as i rang renault uk personally this morn
