**IMPORTANT ALL 172 OWNERS**

Not sure if this has been posted before but still good for everyone to know.

There is a recall on 172s at the moment. This is due to a knocking sound under accelaration (which I have) which could possibly be the drive shaft or engine mounts.

I would advise you all speak to your local dealer to get this checked out!!

My local dealers (tried 2) said there was no recalls outstanding on 172s at all. Checked via my reg and VIN.

Perhaps Jeremy can confirm/deny this?

i had that on my W plate 172..it is the n/s engine mount it comes loose!!

dont think its a recall ... poss a in service note to check when the cars go in for service..

the basic reason is the engine bay isnt big enough for the engine

Get the number for Whitehouse Renalut in Maidstone. The reason found out was cause I was chatting to a guy in a car park with a 172 and hes just got his back from his dealer with a new driveshaft which is a common fault and fixed under warrenty!

Theres no recall. There may be a technical note for a rectification whilst a cars in for service.

Did you not read Jeremys post? There IS NO recall. The Clio brand manager should know if there was one.
