In-Car ipod...

the ones ya can hook up to your CD player! any1 got any info on these? i really want one, got sooooo many songs to be able to have em all in the car would be class!

Didnt know u could get an in-car I-Pod???

Im pretty sure u can hook up an original I-Pod anyways, as long as u got a Phono in on ur head unit.

the ipod mini had a car stand and an adapter (cant remember what its called) which plugs in to it (brought separately)

you can tune your radio in to the same freqeuncy, therefore listen to the tune on your ipod through the radio

and yes it is crystal clear. gettin one in summer..

the devices they sell so that you can tune it in to your radio are sh*t for 2 reasons, 1, it only plays in mono, and 2 you are transmitting a radio signal which in the UK is illegal so with in theory u can get in alot of sh*t for it...

why not get an FM modulator? plugs in to the same bit as your ariel and ariel plugs intoback of it behind stereo does exactly the same except dossnt transmit a signal keeping you legal

Smart have just launched a special edition ish fortwo (the little city one) with ipod, ipod comes engraved with smart on it and has a really neat looking in car kit, charges and plays the tunes. have a look at http://www.thesmart.co.ukwww.thesmart.co.uk maybe its on there, i saw it in the paper the other day

I have one of these things. Theyre called iTrips. Got it from America. Theyre really good - programs the ipod to transmit over fm and you can tune in to it up to 10m away so you wont really get in any trouble for having it.

The iTrips are a great concept but I think the sound quality is not that great.

If you want to listen to your iPod in the car then you really need a Denison ICE kit... theres a link to a review (with pics) below here and there is a UK website that stocks this device. Ill try & find it now as well.
