In Car Neons

Hi

I want to install a 12" neon into the boot of my clio to illuminate my sub amp etc.. Does anyone know if it is possible to power the neon from the exsisting light fitting in the boot? so that when the door is opened the neon will come on.

yep u should b able to wire it in with a couple of cable connectors dude

jus make sure u got positive and negative the right way!

Yup i did wiht my neons, just snipped the light off, and spade connectors o the two cables, try ti one way if it dont work its the other way aroudn, didnt do any damage to mine, i had 2 running off mine, it was a mk1 1.2

ive got a red 12" dual cold cathode kit on ebay at the moment if anyone is interested, I will also have some blue ones within a week, each kit comes with 2 x 12" cold cathodes and the necc adaptor to make them work.

im going to use 1 of the blue kits in my boot so will have plenty spare.
