In need of some advice

  Yozza'd Titanium 182
Ok, i have £5000 to spend and i have my car insurance on suspend for my new car.

I want a 182, prefrably racing blue but they all seem to be a little more pricey, so im cosidering artic blue and iceburg silver.

Im looking at 40.000 miles 53 reg at least.

Any advice???

From the cars I've seen recently (getting a 1*2 for my brother) for £5k at the moment you get a minter of a 172, or a dog of a 182. All of the 182's we looked at were awful condition wise, missing history etc.

So what are you actually wanting advice on then? Do you want us to pick your colour or find you a car?
My advice is get looking and see whats around in your budget. Simple as tbh:rolleyes:

i dont have anything atm. yeah i think that getting a 172 may be the answer, i mean then i could sped the rest on coilovers etc?

would you rather have the icburg or the artic blue? i cant decided.

172 Cup imo. Depends if you want the toys though.

You could just save up the extra £500 and get a decent 182, but it depends if you want to wait and how far your budget is already stretched.

the cup is a definate NO! it will be being dropped on coilovers and i would put a cup spoiler on... why would anyone want the hideous interior of a cup!!?

moving on...

i want the car to be a minter, don't want nothing shoddy! so maybe the 172 is the best option??

Soft lad.

Pmsl @ all the talk of coilys being a must have (ssdd tbh) just because a few on here say it doesn't mean you have to. I'll admit now that I don't think i've been in one with them on it (I may have done though - I forget to ask peoples suspension set ups when I get in their car)

James I bet you've not even been out & driven a 172 or a 182 at all, imo unless your into fast road driving or track days you probably won't even need them.
It really does depend on what you want, if you have to have a 182, save up a bit more for it. As for the colour of it, pick out colours you like & find one in the best possible condition.

Hes drove a few 172/182's now and im assuming he wants the coilovers for looks which imo makes it look 10x better.

Get a flamer or a white one.

The earliest 182's were 53 reg - at the same time you could get the last of the 172's, there are even a few 172's on 04 reg.

Agreed... mine was a very early 182.. only one on the CS stand FCS 2004.. lol imagine that now!.. lol.
'Most early ones are likely to be 2004 registered.. but ofcourse, they can still be on a '53' plate as 04 stared on either 1st March iirc.

Good luck with the search James.. Would have to be a 172 cuo for me though if I were spending £5k. Then put some trendlines in it.. who needs half leather rear seats!? lol ;)
