In the market for a new camera

I have an old nikon d60 that's faulty, not used it in years due to it being faulty.

I miss not having a dslr camera so am interested in getting a new one. Sadly my budget will only allow for an entry level one and im possibly considering a mirrorless.

After doing some googling there seems to be many many options and im not really up on cameras so not sure what im looking for.
Any suggestions?

Just for general photography

Have you got good lenses with your D60? I think you can use them on the mirrorless Nikon body with an adapter if so.

I really need to update my 6D body so might look at a Canon mirrorless body this year.

I would 100% look at the second hand market.

If you’re concerned about warranty then try CEX, they’ll give you a 5 year one.

Grey import companies can save you a decent amount of money too. I used Cotswold cameras a few months ago and picked up a brand new Sony A6400 for the price of a second hand one. They come with a 3 year warranty too.

If you're looking at buying I'd massively recommend the 2nd hand market.
you can pickup nearly new pro level bodies for close to budget level prices.
There is some absolutely stonking deals out there to be had from wex/mpb

a few of the bigger dealers offer test drive 48 hour free rentals to try out their cameras for next to no cost which will let you get to grips and see if it's right for what you want.
Canon and Panasonic are 2 of the ones I've seen offering it recently.
