Yeah I did, back in April

The build is better, far better. Standard, there is no comparison at all, the R26 is a much, much better car to drive.

However, throw £1300 at the Golf, and it really comes alive.

So, I've done:

- Remap £300 taking the power up to 314hp
- Koni FSD dampers and Eibach Sportline Springs - £600, totally transforms the handling and makes it more comfortable at the same time!!
- Audi S3 front brake set up - £400, much better stoppers, the standard 312mm's really struggle, especially after a remap!

I'm pretty happy with it now, but it could do with a Quaiffe too really. I can take the power up to about 380bhp for about £2k, but it will struggle too much.

The best thing about it as it is, is that it will easily do 30mpg round town and 40 on a run.

And when Matthew. took me out in his GTI the quality was so much better than the meg like you say.

I can see the point in the Diff but not in £2k for about 60bhp increase, not when you have so much power already.

Yes, lots! Needs the brakes too tbh! This has the bigger turbo like the S3, so its a nice kick when it gets going!

I probably would have if i'd have kept it I just got put off buy them eating the clutch when mapped,the lad who bought it has already had to upgrade the clutch after having it mapped
