The side entry caf on my 182 has broken and come out, it now gives an almighty induction note, as far as ICANN see it's not a nanosecond to rush and get fixed, or am I wrong an this is harming my engine?
all that pipe does is take air from the accoustic valve to make induction noise less. you're still filtering with it disconnecet and it's probably less resticted
Happened to me too, roar was a bit much. Decided that when I saw a copper 100m away spin around and watch my sleeper 172 go past. So I put back the plastic end piece with about 1-2 inches of CAF pipe left coming from it.
