i got my green cone for a whopping £5 off ebay and heatshield for £10 and it sounds ace and works a treat - has to be said worked sh*t without the heatshield, made the car a bit sluggish after driving for a while. got a CAF aswell and its sweet.

Like ballbag says . Keep your eye out on ebay for a green , k+n , bmc etc... It doesn't have to be for a clio as long as the hole is 70mm for the elbow , even if its bigger you can buy reducers . I bought a brand new k+n cone filter off ebay for £20 delivered . It wasn't advertised as being for a clio but it fits perfectly inside my custom made enclosure .

Im not that clever when it comes to mechanical things but ive seen universal air filters and the hole which mine is supposed to connect to is an oval shape.

Anyone offer some advice?

i solved that with some rubber off of a u bend out of a new toilet pipe with some tie wraps around, works a treat.

hard to explain but it is easy to do.
