not bein cheesy or nothing, but id buy a heatshield as well. mine definately benefitted from the heatshield as the cone drew in a lot of hot air. i also put another cold air feed on it from removing the spotlight. much better than just sticking the cone on, on its own.

I wouldnt bother buying it

Most folk on here will tell you you'll lose power with a open IK plus most folk seem to favour a ITG filter with the standard air box

do it. it sounds ace. you will lose power on its own yes but just make sure it gets cold air to it and you wont lose any.

I fitted this yesterday with no problems so I'm happy with it. I put the heatshield on and left the 2 old air feeds from the airbox pointing towards the filter. I would put a cold air feed from the fog light but I just got brand new fogs and tinted them yellow so they're not coming out lol.

your still gonna loose power even with a heat shield unless you wrap the manifold etc with heat wrap mate the only thing you gain from an open one is more of a induction roar .....panel filter all the way :rasp:

That's fine, I'm gonna fit the airbox back on with a panel filter if I ever do any track days or quarter miles, for now I'm just happy with the sound.

I tinted the fog lights cause I always liked the look of the old renault 5 an peugeot 205 fog lights when they were yellow.

I'll post up some pictures if I ever decide to get it out of the garage for a drive in this weather.

PS I'm not gordon's son, I thought anyone could have spotted that due to my lack of swearing lol
