induction kit query

Is it normal to get a whistle from your induction kit???

on a valver its normal (not a whistle, but more of a "small rodent being tortured" type screaming noise????

i had a k&n on there but it was f**ked so got a pipercross on there now (its bloody huuugggeee!!!). what is that noise then??? it sounds like its sucking in air???
