8v has a different intake location, it's more at the back of the engine.. The 16v has a side mounted air filter inlet. The base plate for the 16v wont match the 8v at all.
could just get a pipercross one i know they do one coz i got it, i would recomend not getting it thoughwast of time ok in winter but during summer you lose even more power from an engine thats one got 30bhp (thats 30 brake hamster power lol)
