i have just been looking at the K&N 57i gen 2 and thinking is it worth buying for all £200?
Might just go for a cheaper Powertec Sl1, had one in my old 1.2 and it made a great noise and was alot of fun

yeh but to be fair a open filter would be ok in a 1.2 with a heat shield
the open filters generaly give you more of a induction (Roar) sound as aposed to the enclosed ones which are quiter however you can still hear them
