I'm running a regular pipercross induction kit on my 182, I ran a viper on my old 172 but it was too quiet... I like induction noise! :D

I'm aware that the regular cone filter isn't particularly good. Has anyone got any better suggestions to replace it with, without losing my induction note?

thanks :D

PH1 - 172 Airbox, ITG filter and relocated cold air feed.

Why pay £300 for something that looks nice?

Worked wonders for the Renaultsport built race cars...

i might be wrong but your k&n should be fine over winter its so cold at least in england when your driving you should be able to pull enough cold air into the engine bay to over power the heat produced by your engine. so save your pennies while its cold & get a maxogen in spring.

the best thing you can do mate is try and sheild off your cone filter from any heat. Aswell as remembering to try and keep the intake smooth as posible with not to many bends! If you move the battery in the boot then you have lots of space to play with.

buy a good panel filter, disconnect the airfeed from the airbox by about an inch, and tadaaah!

induction noise........

Best induction kit for 172/182 clio without a shadow of a doubt is the ITG Maxogen kit, quite pricey and also not as noisy as most on the market today.

This ITG Maxogen seems good. However, has anybody got any real life gains from it? Not just the media speculation and companys gains?

Complete load of rubbish

Makes a hell of a difference over the stock especially at the top end of the rev range (when set up).

Prove it's any better, the science is exactly the same.
