K-Tec/Piper X filter in standard airbox, everything else is a waste of money,
and thats coming from a man that has the JMS V6 setup.

You can add a 90 degree silicon hose with an oil breather to the standard box and ditch the acoustic valve,
then you've got the best airflow possible out of the stock setup.

i would stick with what renault gave you..

however if you are interested - i have a K&N cone only you can have for £35

  Flame Red 172
Not worth it you could get heatsoak with an open cone and you could just loose power which im sure u dont want, stick to what you've got and stick an aftermarket panel filter in there.

I was told to just whip the AV hose off and tuck it away, where is tha AV'ed hose feeding from?

This ^^ and remove the top cold air feed if you want some more induction noise.
