Injector cleaning

Car  Peddled device
Has anyone had this done ? How easy are they to take off ? Was it value for money ? Did it give you a massive power increase ?

(The last one is a joke ;) )

on my last car running a 2nd hand throttle boddie kit i had problems with the injectors 2 flowed really good and 2 flowed really crap had them ultranonicly cleaned and was able to map it gained an extra 35bhp (also stopped it burning out the head gasket).

had my clio ones done too as cars been parked up for 4 years.

not cheap at £120 for 4 injectors.

£120 for four injectors isn't correct, someone said about £15 each the other day.

At £120 its half the price of brand new injectors new from Renault.

£120 is what i payed to have mine done including flow rate tests before and after and a service on them.

That's a lot of money to have that done, can get it a lot cheaper than that.

I use a company called injectortune, they offer the before and after aswell, service them with all new filters and seals (send your old ones back to you with the injectors too) all for £12.50 per injector, plus £6 postage.
So £56 all in, an usually a good turn around of roughly 3-4 days from when you send them.

They've done a few sets for me now. They're also traders on a couple of the Saxo and 106 forums, seem to be quite popular.

Had my meggy 225 injectors done, gained abnout 2cc's of flow, they were perfect beforehand waste of £60 gutted :( Peace of mind and all that though...

i know if your going through the effort to do this,
if in any way you are thinking about adding fuel cleaning additives after to your tank, i would say please buy a decent brand. the cheap and chearful stuff really is cheap and cheerful watered down crap.

I was at Blink Motorsport yesterday, and I asked about this service as they clean injectors for about £10 each. They can do a drive in/drive out service, but were unfamiliar with taking them of a 182. Is it a straight forward job? We looked and it seems that the fuel rail is under another part at the front of the engine that maybe unbolts.

Yeah its easy, fuel rail guard undoes with 2 x 10mm bolts then theres plenty of access to the fuel rail.
