Inlet Air Temperature Too High

  Clio RS
Hi,

I have borrowed RSTuner from Btaser2. I am starting to make some logs with it this morning. I see that my air inlet temperature is too high i think. Outside temp is 2C and IAT is 18C. I made a good short ram kit with isolation and get good performance i think but if the temp is so high there will be some improvments for my intake. For example my wifes car is mercedes A160 and when outside temp is 2C inlet temp will be 4C or max 5C when driving.

I am waiting for your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks.

hi baturalp
i want to say that your inlet temp is not much for clio
because there are different inlet system with mercedes
but you can improve it
you can take out the inlet manifold and clean its inside with a brake cleaning sprey or with gasoline
also clean the iat sensors head with gas
but becarreful not whole of it only the head
it is the sensor which is attaches to the right side of the inlet and its colour is white

i have cleaned the plenum when i inserting the cams. I will try the Chris's thermal gasket and make a isolatin to the plenum. if you say it is usual for clio's, there will be some power gain from the plenum.

If we can decrease it to 8 C when the outside temp is 2, there will be a 10 C gain.

also i want to say that
esspacialy on summer the header reaches very high temperatures and when you are riding on low speeds it effects the manifold
if you can isolate the top of the header with something else it will be better
secondly take out the plastic cover of the manifold
