No, fixing for the TB is different and I think something else on the back of them are different!

^^^ think mattjk is meaning whats this got to do with the topic which is about .........????? yup, inlet manifold suprise suprise ;) lol

Inlet = part that connects from head to plenum chamber, holds the injectors

Plenum chamber = bit thats got the throttle body (TB) bolted to and says ''Renault Sport'' in big letters

Wrong..

Inlet maifold - part with "RENAULT SPORT" on..

Plenum chamber - part with fuel rail / injectors attached, plenum bolts onto the head of the engine

The 182 has a different breather set up to the 172.

So Basically Neither the Inlet or the Plenum from a Ph2 172 and a 182 are inter changable?

You lot have confused the s**t out of me now LOL

I think the inlets are interchangeable but some need a little modification. The plenum which you are looking to polish is best swapped with a car that has the same engine number, e.g. if yours is F4R 730, swap with another 730. Not sure why Renault kept using different ones.

Gray is wrong, Andyman is right

inlet manifold is the part bolted to the head with the injectors, plenham has "Renault sport" written on it

sorry to bump but doing some research into this and no point in a new thread.

it seems they have the same part number if bought from renault for 172 and 182?

so is it a deffo no they arent interchangable as the breather setup is different?

The lower manifold will fit either a 172 or a 182 (182 have RS stamped ones, with a bit larger tracts), but the upper manifold is different, the canister line goes into the head in the 172 and for the 182 it goes into the upper manifold. I have taken one off from a 172 and 182 as well, and believe, they are not the same, hence not interchangeable.

My 172 cup has "R S" Stamped on the inlet and its the original... Is that good? lol
When you have it gasflowed is it just the inlet and manifold? or do they do the plenham chamber aswell? ( plenham chamber being the thing with the butterfly inside and the big fly-by-wire piece of crap stuck to it?? )

Anyone know what the hole on the top-right is for (above screw-hole)?

I have 2 plenum chambers and only 1 of them has this hole :S

  Ph1
Not sure but certainly nothing to worry about as it hangs over the back of the engine so dosent effect any running or set up

Just ran out to the car to look, the one that's fitted to the car has this hole too.

Could be something to do with the left hand drive market side of things? Maybe they use it for a bracket we dont need over here?

Could be, there wernt many other cars that used this engine/plenum. I wander if the older style 2.0 16v single seat formula renault cars used the exact same one, they looked similar. It could have been something for that.
