inlet manifold

ive got a 1.2 1995 clio, and i want to put a weber carb on.... ive got the carb however its twin choke, do the 1.8 or williams have two holes for the inlet manifold as at the moment iv got one? or are they electronic fuel injection? as long as the manifold has two holes then i can have a plate engineered so the carb will fit.

also does anyone know if the gt 5 turbo has two holes for the inlet manifold?

thx in advance

The F7 manifold wont fit your engine, nor does it have the setup you require.

Oh, what carb is it? DFT, DGAV, DCOE, DCNF?

Your car should be injection shoud it not?

If it is thats your first starting point, lowering fuel pressure or youll flood the reserviour.

Making a manifold is quite simple, get a gasket for both your manifold and carb, then get two pates in 3-4mm steel copying the gaskets (leave a few mm oversize on teh manifold flange) then bridge the two flanges with either completely new tracts or use your original manifold and cut off the old carb/throttlebody flange and fix yours fabricated carb one to it.

you might need to make your own tiny plenum for all the inlet tracts to meet just under the carb get some pics of the engine bay and carb and existing manifold and we can figure something out.

If you use the inlet manifold from a Ren 19 1.4 energy it will bolt straight to your 1.4 head.Early 19s were fitted with a twin choke carb. Webber do an equivelant carb which will go straight on to the inlet manifol. You will have toset all of the jets for best performasnce.

yea thats wel useful about the Ren 19 inlet manifold! was probably gonna hav an engineer modify my current manifold. im ringing scrappies at the mo to find an old Ren 19 manifold.
