Installing a second amp.

  Oyster Card
Okay people heres my current ICE situation

Sony Xplode 4x50w Headunit
Front SPL 120w Speakers
Rear JBL 6x9s
SPL 500w Amp
SPLx twin 10" Sub

Basically the amp is powering the subs but my speakers have no juice and distort easily so I was thinking of wiring up a cheap amp to give them a bit of extra kick.
Is this possible with my current setup if so how would I go about doing it?

if the speakers are distorting does that not mean their just, well, crap, and cant handle the signal? so ampin thems jus gonna make them worse right?

im not being funny, ive forgotton if thats true or not ?!? :S too late, going to bed lol!

not sure about the second question.....but wiring up another amp i believe you would need a distribution block to split the maind power into two...that how i ran 2 amps anywayz but perhaps someone else will have the answers

It could be something to do with not having an amplified signal - but I highly doubt it

Despite actually only having decent car audio in my car, I have dealt with people who have had SPL speakers in the past - and I'm afraid that the problem is probably that they are just sh1t.

I mean, the h/u may only be giving them 13w rms a side (and dont argue, thats the true rms wattage after testing for most xplod h/u's - whatever the spec sheet says.

And 120w? Can you please give true wattage ratings please? I assume this means the speakers are probably only about 50w, and 25 a side.

So, putting two and two together, get a nw h/u and speakers - as you will get no improvement after spending more money on an amp. (I would give avice on the rest of your audio, but you only asked the one question ;))

No, you dont have to do that, and if the power cable is any less than 4awg, its a pretty bad idea to daisy chain.

you may use a dizzy for power wires of 4awg, preferably thicker, but any thinner and you will need to run a second lot of power wire and also maybe RCA cable

lmao. are you joking? what is the power rating of the subs you are using the power wire with? as in rms wattage
