Installing additional maps onto R-Link.

Hi, as of today I'm a new owner of a late 2013 Clio with R-Link - after several attempts and searches I'm getting stuck adding my just purchased France maps onto the SD card that came with the car (which has UK maps already installed).

I've managed to create an R-Link account and I installed the R-Link updates onto the SD card which in turn were successfully installed onto the car itself. When I then try and sync the France map onto the SD card via gb.rlinkstore.com it fails with a generic message stating"an error has occurred".

How do I get my just purchased France map onto the card?

I also have a European map set bought from eBay which is supposed to be compatible but when putting this card into the car R-Link states no maps are available and plays random noise clips instead.

One final question - is there a way of getting R-Link to switch on and default to maps with no music?

Any help or pointers are appreciated... thanks in advance, Ben.

I know the r- link is not to great but the first thing is only the sd card that came with your car is formatted for your r- link and no others from eBay or Tom tom will work
Also You have to purchase maps from r- link gb site and have you set it up on your computer with the same vin number from last owner
Mine had been set up from Irish site. And I had to delete all and restart from the gb site
Have a look over on the renaultsport forum for r- link posts about the same problem your having as there is a few
Also the captur forums are good for r- link problems
Cheers shocker

Thanks Shocker - I'm still searching but not finding anything helpful.

I've got the map purchased via the GB store, it just won't install. As a test I managed to install the weather app but upon trying to remove it throws another generic error. I've dropped the R-Link store an email to see if they can help, if not I guess a dealer visit may help.

Problem solved - after spending a few hours sat in the car I finally did a factory reset.

After that it came to life and offered me multiple map choices which I can now alter between via the navigation settings.

Interestingly last night I also lost the R-Link store but this morning it came back - the factory reset then disabled this again but I suspect it'll sort itself out again.
