installing my sub

  2005 182 cliosport
well me and my mate have tried to install my sub today but got stuck on the first bit!!....we cudnt find a hole to feed the power cable from the battery into the car...itsa mk1 clio....any ideas?? cus im totaly stumped

ive hada look so im guna go drilla hole!! fun

no mate dont, there is a grommit in the fire wall which you can feed the power cable through, its a bit*h to find, but if you look for it from the bonnet/ engine bay instead of from inside the car its easier.....just look along the firewall and you should locate a black wire ( if i recall correctly) going through the firewall into the footwell on the drivers side. puncture that with a screwdriver and try locate the screwdriver on the inside of the car....then tape your powercable to it and pull it through. thats the way i did it after some help from CS users;)

what ive seen lots of people doing lately is putting the cable out the bonnet around the a pillar and in the door!

very subtle haha!

there shud be a gromit in the bulk head like has been said!

look out for that!

thats just dangerous:(, and looks bodgetastic.

like everyones said, theres a gromit, might take some finding, but much better to find it than drilling a hole somewhere!

wel its all installed...but it didnt work....finding a place to earth in the boot was stupid...its a bolt on the side of the boot about 3/4 of the way up...duno if its good enuff

I grounded mine under the rear seat, there was like a little metal square frame raised up from the existing metal sheet, had a little hole in the top big enough to put a bolt through, so sanded it down and bolted up the ground....seems to be doin alright as the system is finally running :D
