Installing vibratechnics RH mount

Hey! I will be replacing the engine top mount of my 172 ph1 for a vibratechnics one. The procedure itself seems quite easy, but how do I make sure the engine is properly aligned after the change? I've seen people let the engine idle with the mount loose for a bit? Do I have to loosen the dogbone or the gearbox mount?
