instruments panel icon?????

Hello, ive not long had my clio so most of you will laugh at this question i imagine!!!. I put my foot down earlier today and just as i changed gear i noticed a green light flash up on the bottom right hand side of the instruments panel, it was a small green gear stick icon. I imagine its just to indicate a gear change is needed but I wanted to double check and make sure its not a error light!! Could anyone advise? Ive got a clio 172 Phase 2

I referred to the handbook but the same icon is not displayed as what I have.

Yeah it's the warning before you redline it

Commonly known as the shift light.
