Insurance cash in lieu

Got my rear bumper smashed and insurance want to get a national repairer to muck up my 182. Can I demand cash in lieu? Or get spray shack to sort me out.

Usually have to go with one of their toss bodyshops, so it's 'done to their standard'.

You've just gotta be very thorough when it's finished and refuse to collect if they've done a s**t job.

Yes you can, they'll tell you a load of bull but yes you can.

As gally said, (he would know), you can use wherever you like. Some insurers you can get the payout and sort yourself.
