Insurance - Driving other car at 20yrs old

  BMW 330ci, Clio 182
I'm looking at quotes for my 1.2 clio at the moment, cheapest are around £500
I'm 20, with 3 years ncb. Can anyone recommend any decent companies to try?

I've seen a couple of places who offer 3rd party cover on other cars, but can't remember which companies they were! I know one was about £100 extra but it may be worth it if it means I'd be able to drive the parents cars occasionally - would be pretty useful

Anyone got a 'drive other car' option on their insurance at a similar age, or know who offers it?
Quinn was one of them recomended to me, but they quoted £2988!

Cheers

Just seen another thread, and bell seems to be recommended. When I got a quote though, they wanted £149.99 for anycar cover and not the £20/£30 others had been charged!
May try the quote again, although it's probably their new policy or something

edit: just seen the above, on flexibell its £150 for me?

That makes no sense cos last year i was 20 with 3 NCB and paid 30quid extra on the policy on my 182, this year i paid exactly the same,

my brother 19 paid 30quid extra, my girlfriend can add it to her policy for 30quid a year.

Yeah hopefully that's the case
Going through the quote again, but it was definitely a £149.99 option the first time round. Hopefully I typed something in wrong

Same thing again, not sure what the difference is

Policy upgrades

Legal expenses cover
£27.50

Windscreen cover
£12.95

Drive other car (third party only)
£149.99

Bell apparently don't offer the 3rd party cover now to anyone under the age of 25 or 21 (can't remember exactly). Or so I was told on the phone by them.. as when I go to add the 3rd party cover for £30 it says there has a been an error and I need to ring up Bell. Its a very recent change they've made I believe.

Seems they may have changed it to £150?

Anybody else fancy trying a quote to see what the option costs ;)

edit: when I choose it, it says there's been an error - so you're probably correct!

Well it says it on my insurance documents so they can not take it away now :D!

Yeah you're probably fine! When did you renew out of interest?

It says £150, but when you add it an error comes up saying they want to know how you're going to use the car. Maybe it's so make sure you're not driving another car that you own thinking you're covered or something
May give them a call later, hopefully get the price down a little

Bell wanted 30 quid for me to drive other cars.. going through the quote making sure everything was right, came back to the price and it was suddenly 2k just for the extra of driving other cars.
