Insurance finally paid out

finally got my cheque through for my written off clio 182

was a bit annoyed that i only got £5000 after my excess came off
considering it was only november that i paid £6500 for it but at the same time the money has fell out of the car market so i thought £5500 market value for it was not too bad.

still have no idea what i want to get, just keeping the vr6 til its mot is due and see what happens with it. need to consider what my insurance is gonna be like now seeing as i now have a crash and loss of no claims to add to the sp30 charge i already have :dapprove:

Get a ph1 172 !

Seems they paid out pretty quickly, you hear horror stories of taking years etc!

wasn't too bad...
crashed on the 21st Feb
recieved the cheque on 7th April

ph1 172....... can pick one of them up for cheap cheap these days.

just having a lot of fun in my golf vr6 just now....
its the equivalent of what i would call a muscle hatch

big lazy 2.8 engine with only 174bhp but loads of torque.

car easily sees the wrong side of 150 .....

but is nothing like my clio in a bend, its actually quite scary, even with the coilovers and strut braces

lol, yep mate you can get a decent Ph1 for circa £2k, then spend maybe £1k doing it up the way you want... then £2k on a holiday, DONE.

we still havnt got a pay out from our car being written off in November. They are recieving solicitors letter next week i beleive.

Its all cause they want to replace the campus sport i-music that i crashed with a new shape extreme but the finance company will only accept an exact like for like or the cash. But because car less than year old, the insurance wont offer the cash, only a new car. But extreme is no where near the spec of the campus sport i-music so its all a bit of a battle at the moment, with us still having to pay the monthly payments on the finance.
