Try Brentacre 01792 650933, usually uses NIG and has always been cheap for me. Ins based on HP limits and you can do anything else to the car without affecting the premium. My modded golf (around 200 genuine hp) was cheaper to insure than a standard one and that was with an agreed value reflecting some of the mods.

I have used them for 10 years and had to claim with no problems. Their view is if you have spent a load of money modding a car properly then you will try to look after it, not leave it in stupid places etc and therefore you are a reasonable risk. (apart from crashing the car that is). Just insured the 182 with them for £800, which may seem a lot but I have no NCB due to hit and run and a break in on my previous car in the last 18 months. Tesco quoted me £2800.

Just PMd you about it but basically Flux are good for serious mods - and I know what youre up to mate LOL - but I dont know how far Id trust them if I actually ever needed to claim. You just get a feeling that theyre not very efficient at their job really, sending wrong certificates out sometimes, hassles with stuff not arriving in time, admin charges when you need a green card or need to change your address etc. But if no other insurers will touch you cos youve got such hefty mods, you havent got a lot of choice.
