Insurance - from a 16v to willy

Insurance question again as boring as they are! I pay £760 f/c a year on my valver so how much more is it likely to be for a williams?

My first quote from 16v to Williams was double at around £1200

I managed to get a cheap deal from Elephant £649 Fully comp £250 Excess, Protected No claims.

I think Insurance group for 16v is 12 and Willy is 17, big hike.

The £649 quote was the cheapest by far, I tried HIC, Adiran Flux, Axa, err and loads more but Elephant came up tops.

Before I got the Willy elephant quoted me £412 fully comp on the Valver

I have 6 years no claims, 25, made sure I put girlfiend as named driver, as it brings premium down, and the car is parked on the Street at night.

Looks like it will double then! I think £1400 is a bit much as i got quoted £1500 for a pulsar!

Well, £1400 for me isnt bad.. 20, No NCD.. (3 Years driving tho, no points, no claims etc..)

Saying its a grp17 car and all.. heh.

Well im only 19 with two years NCB. Im just lucky enough to get insured through my dads business!

I found, when looking for Williams quotes, mainly on the AA website and Tesco one There was a large difference between a quote on a williams 1,2 and 3. I think the willams 1,and 3 wre cheaper than the 2??? (or 1,2 cheaper than the 3 not sure) Cos i was looking at an impreza quote (also group 17) was about £1700, the williams 2 was a similar quote. Then did a williams 1 and the quote was £1400. Anyone else found this??

the guy that bought my old willy 2 paid an extra £50 from movin his ins up from a 1.4 nova sr to the willy 2

an that was from adi flux n hes 23

how fukkin cheap is that?........he rang em 4 times jus to make sure they hadnt made a mistake lol
